Here is a new article published in Vijaykarnataka. I have written about Swami Japananda who has been recognised for his yeoman service in providing healthcare to the rural poor through Swami Vivekananda Integrated Health Centre, which he founded in 1990. He has waged a crusade against leprosy, tuberculosis and blindness in Pavagada and Madhugiri taluks in Tumkur district and has shown the way for others. One should visit place to know the positive change he has brought in the mindsets of people, and the confidence he has instilled in them through his service.

It's really enlightening to understand the work of Sri Japananda....the "Selfless" commitment to the society....We need more and more Swamy Japananda's for namma Karunaadu and namma Bharatha.
Where some of the Institutions(NGOs, Missionaries) do have such initiatives, they all have a intent that benefits them/their organizations goal(Ex.,conversion, just so I mentioned it). They all have lot to learn from our Swamy Japananda
