Karnataka deserves a better public life

After 8 days of speculations, the Centre's Cabinet Committee for Political Affairs chaired by Prime Minister rejected the Karnataka Governor's recommendation to impose President's Rule in the state. And rightly so. This decision Not to disturb a duly elected government with clear cut majority, on the day when UPA was observing it's second Anniversary deserves a big applause.

It should become a moment of introspection for the political parties of Karnataka in general. Common man feels betrayed by these regular events which take the state to the brink of instability. The manner in which we,the political groups try to impose our agenda through public demonstrations is totally disliked by the people of the state. Especially the vocabulary used in our public discourse  leaves the public aghast. If we do not exhibit responsibility and restraint in our utterances and programmes, the public image of conventional politician will go down still.

When all other fields are trying their best to show some or the other type of innovation why we, as a class are not thinking in that direction. It is the time to ponder seriously by all the political parties, whether in power or in opposition about the way to regain the public approval by our behavior.

This State of ours definitely deserves a better, decent, enlightened public life which can take our state's esteem higher.

Sir, Some are urgent things and some are important things in present politics. Some issues in Karnataka are 'urgent and impoertant' ones.
Shall mention few.
1) Control corruptipn.
2) Control Population
3) Control Superstitious beliefs
4) Promote health and education
I wish all political parties will work towards common goal.

Sir,

BJP deserves a 5 year ruling in karnataka, I don't have a second thought here. Please think the "Operation Kamala" is such a worst campaign started by you(BJP) which destabilized Opposition.

And Now you(BJP) has more stability with 121+ seats in assembly, hope this will help you to perform and deliver better..

I personally wish to see few initiatives from your government in the lines of Vajpayee's efforts towards modern INDIA

@ Dr Sandeep,
Karnataka never had a population problem!
So, controlling population should not be a focus here since we are going to face manpower shortage in coming days..
Check the demographics report and predictions for 2030. In coming days, all the labour would come from Bihar and UP since Southern states have lower fertility rates and cannot sustain the population.

@ Dear Minister,
I was a BJP supporter because of dynamic leadership team of NDA.
But, I am not happy with the present government due to misplaced priorities.
In particular, the appeasement of linguistic minorities for the sake of votes .
Given a choice in next elections, I dont mind voting for regional party since BJP and Congress fail to protect my state, language and its interests.

Dear sir,

When ever such an interrupt occurs in politics, I will be scared about the future of the country. I feel country is safe in the hands of youth, rather than good old politicians who wants to earn for their generations to lead a comfortable life than improving country. Most of the politicians are there to make a business, a business of ruling, they want to rule even if the citizens have not given them the rights to rule. If every politician in the state were like you, with the resources and the Brains that karnataka has, it would have been in the top of the list in every aspects of improvement. Dear sir, I appreciate the initiatives taken by your Govt like Global investors meet and many other initiatives towards agriculture, but still lots are left to achieve. As once Mr. Modi said, "a CM should be a CEO", being from software background I extend these words and quote, the ruling party should be like a "team" and every member of that should be a "leader cum team player" whose must understand that they are paid for delivering the development of the state.only goal of that team should be "improvement". To achieve this, all the members in that ruling Govt. should have same mindset, and the opposition should be creative. with the brains and experience that senior politicians have, they can achieve many a things in the time that they spend for pulling others legs, either of the same party or of the others...

I pray God to give nice politicians like you at least in the future.

No reason to disbelieve your arguement. But the same question-- where to begin and who can do it? One straight question: Can BJP take this risk to do it? If it does, it can claim to be a party with difference. Otherwise, one has to suspect the use of that adjective, "different and difference."

Dear Sureshji
Kudos to your obervation!!
The govt should concnetrate on governance now!!
Hope the BJP stops poaching from other parties and stop misuse of power by bribing them by ministerial berths, stop appointing beuracrats to high positions on the basis of the caste AND also stop diverting public money to TEMPLES,MUTTS and religious institutions,we pay taxes to the govt to provide infra and if i want to donate i would offer money into the "hundi" in a temple.
and finally treat people who have contributed to this state with dignity like SAALU MARA THIMMAKKA
Sorry for being preachy!!

Sir why dont we convert his place as a safe musium so that we can preserve the monuments there. Now the maintainance is really bad, sir if we dont take care of it will lose all the things which Visveswaraya used.
Thank you sir,

Mr Suresh Kumar, it's all too good to utter such bullshit on the blogs and FB. What we require in Karnataka is not simply better public life, but cultured politicians! All those shameless politicians hanquering for power and making a mockery of our votes (your dirty party is the most notorious culprit) should offer themselves to be arrested and tried!!! Nothing less. Else no hope for hope for us! Your govt is the most notorious and shameless; has violated every constitutional, civil, legal, ethical norm! Shameless!

What you said is true...

We the people need change!!!!

I think at least few honest people in politics can make way for the change by changing them-self!

For heaven sake ask MR CM Yedvatappa (these days he is acting as Cheap minister) to TALK LESS AND DO MORE WORK (answer oppositions and others by work as MODI and Nitesh are doing)

All politicians must think of winning elections by gaining confidence, trust and goodwill ofby work not money!!!
